"It was magical seeing the characters from one of my favourite books being brought so convincingly to life!"
"Huge congratulations to Sharnbrook Mill Theatre for a wonderful performance of Little Women tonight! The directing was superb, as were the costumes, staging and wonderful performances."
"Great play, well done everyone and spot on directing"
"I've seen the TV series, I've seen the film but none of them evoked the emotion, the humour and the performances that the cast of Little Women treated us to last night at Sharnbrook Mill Theatre!"
"Wow! What an amazing show! I was spell bound from start to finish!"
"One of my mantras in life is ‘Never underestimate the young’ and last night I had a perfect demonstration of why you shouldn’t ever forget that."
Directors Notes
"What an unforgettable experience this has been as my directorial debut. Ever since I was told I was allowed to put on Little Women, I have enjoyed every minute! From the planning, auditions, rehearsals, right up until show week, I have received unconditional support from everyone here at Sharnbrook Mill Theatre and from my friends and family. It has been an experience that I wish would never end.
It has been a challenge to tell such a classic story. There are so many characters and story lines within the novel. It was my vision with this show to capture those key moments of the story that make us fall in love with the characters, leaving us wanting to know how their side of the story ends. That wouldn’t have been possible without this amazing cast and crew who have brought my vision to life. The cast has put so much dedication and enthusiasm into their characters and it’s been such a joyful and emotional experience to watch them bring them to life. The amazing crew has worked so hard: their attention to detail has been incredible in bringing the authenticity to the show. This experience will be a wonderful memory for me, and I hope you all enjoy this production as much as I have working on it.”
